    OWNER + INSTRUCTOR

My lifelong love affair with body movement started in a performing arts dance company in Maryland. For 10 years, I provided group yoga, barre, and fitness classes in my local community fitness studios. There, I saw a need for more profound education within the fitness community, so I sought my doctoral degree in physical therapy. Now, I strive to provide injury prevention, movement adaptation, and physical therapy-informed guided movement practices.

I started my Pilates journey 12 years ago in Ogden, Utah. Originally I was using Pilates as an outlet to stay fit. Soon realized Pilates was so much more than just a workout. Pilates has supported me through neck and hip surgery, giving me an incredible amount of body awareness and confidence. Over the last 5 years, I have geared my focus toward rehabilitative Pilates Therapy. I believe Pilates is the ultimate outlet for injury prevention and recovery that aids in building an intentional relationship with your body. I am passionate about teaching others how they can live wholly within their bodies.

    INSTRUCTOR

Vanessa’s teaching journey began over 20 years ago as a yoga instructor. As she progressed down the teaching path, she started working with clients one on one on issues ranging from hip replacement to back pain to cancer recovery. Pilates was the next logical step for her as she explored how to heal her own back injuries. Pilates was just what she needed to get back to doing the thing she loves most, hiking with her dogs. Vanessa is excited to share this healing (and fun!) practice with others.

I began teaching various styles of yoga 20 years ago. After many years of body movement, I developed a curiosity for Pilates. Pilates was a great complement to yoga and all the other activities I enjoy. Pilates allows me to teach in a small group setting which allows me to provide extra attention to the individual. My classes offer a playful and fun approach all while remaining in the fundamentals of anatomy, form, and support.
